October 2019 Newsletter
Hello families of Countryside Child Care Center. As we enter the month of October and some crisp fall weather, we have a few reminders:
*Please check your child’s bin to make sure there are weather appropriate clothes! Long sleeves, pants, etc.
*Check your child’s folder for projects, notices, and updates each day.
*The center will be closed on Monday October 14th in honor of Columbus Day.
*Let’s wear BLACK on Thursday October 17th in honor of the color of the month!
*On Thursday October 31st, your child may wear their Halloween costume to school over their clothes. We will have a Halloween “celebration”. Children will be changed out of their costumes before lunch.
In the infant room, the babies will do daily projects, story time, and tummy time each day. Our older babies will work on their gross motor skills as they begin to crawl, stand and walk!!!
In the infant toddler room, the children will do projects each day focusing on the themes fall, fire safety, Spain and Halloween. They will use their fine motor skills when making a fingerprint tree!
In toddler preschool 1 and 2, the children will do projects and activities each day focusing on the themes fall, fire safety, Spain and Halloween. They will be creating a finger paint ghost and black cat…spooky!! Their portfolio work will consist of the letters D, E, F, black, triangle, the number two and matching!
In preschool 1 and 2, the children will work together to complete lots of projects and hands on activities focusing on the themes fall, fire safety, Spain and Halloween. Their portfolio work will consist of the letters D, E, F, black, triangle, the number two and matching! They will make super cute pumpkins as well as a fire safety dog!!
In the pre-k classroom, the children will continue to work on writing their names, as well as spelling them out loud each day! In addition, they will do a daily project and portfolio work. The themes this month are fall, fire safety, Spain and Halloween. Their portfolio work will consist of the letters D, E, F, black, triangle, the number two and matching!
